Default how to check if trans is stolen?????

well this guy is selling me a gsr trans for 350 which i think is cheap he says its cheap because he doesnt know whats wrong with it. before i buy it, i wanna make shure its not stolen is there a way to check???
by the way he said its off a 95 gsr( I think guy works at yunk yard)

stolen or not, how do u know the tranny is good. if its not stolen, it seems kinda iffy for that price. be very careful man.

thanks man I posted this on gdd and i decided to pass on it due to not knowing the condition of it
it wasnt stolen the guy works at a salvage yard
95 gsr rear ended

I wouldn't care either way, get a receipt and take the trans. If it is a buisness (salvage yard) that it is coming from you have no worries. Just get a receipt!

is it being sold by the salvage yard or is it being sold by a guy that stole it out of the salvage yard?

guy works at salvage yard i dont know if he is going to steal it or gets discount or what ever he just told me he had a gsr tranny that he works at a salvage yard and was only hable to get the tranny since they cannot put those car in the yard yet ( i dont know why, something about being special ordered or for the boss or something like that) it is in a seperate part of the yard

to me it sounds like its being sold on the side. If it was being sold through the yard over the couter it better be backed by a warranty.

yeah regardless i wont be buying it too much of work to try and get only 100 bucks off it
