Threded plugs in crankshaft
I have heard of people doing this and I wanted to know how to do it exactly, if its actually safer, and how many holes there are to plug. I think it is also refered to as 'whelch' plugs or somthing like that? does anyone know exactly how many are in/on a d16y8 crank? where can I buy the threded plugs to use? thanks
Edit: found a little more info on another web site.. but still need to know how many holes there are in the d16y8 crank so I can tell the shop thats doing the machining on my engine how many there are
Taken from the web site:

Here is an example of a
stock pressed in oil galley
plug. These should be
drilled out and replaced
with loctighted screw in
plugs.

This crank has had its
stock oil passage plugs
drilled out and replaced
with screw-in plugs. These
plugs are more secure and
allow removal for cleaning.
