Default should i put b16 pistons in my LS/vtec?

aight so today someone told me that i should use my old b16 pistons in my LSv build because of valve clearence issues? is there an advantage of this, or will i run into problems if i just run the regular LS pistons, i havent made my mind up if i wanna take the head off again and tear into the block
