Default can electrical vss be interchangeable with mechanical vss?

Alright, well my b16 cable tranny that is in my car came with a mechanical vss and I switched out to a hydro gsr transmission which came with an electrical vss that I do not need to wire up nor use since I'm using the stock cluster. Can I just swap the VSS on the tranny from an electrical to a mechanical? Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can. My cable B16 tranny came with an electrical VSS and I just popped it out and put in the mechanical one. Everything worked. I imagine it would be no different on a GSR tranny.
