Again!! NO ITS NOT!!!! Go search ANY Honda or Acura, service manual. That is not the purge solenoid!! The CORRECT name for it is "Canister Shut Off Valve" I had to replace mine cause of a mil code i was getting. I tested my whole evap system cause I got a mil. I know the evap system by heart!!

theres a:

two way valve
bypass solenoid
purge control solenoid
CANISTER SHUT OFF VALVE

If you don't believe me, do a search for a helms manual for a 96-00 civic OR 96+ acura integra. Then come prove me wrong!!!

I have a helms manual for the 96-00 civic and its clearly labled!!! Stop posting **** if you don't know what your talking about!!!!!!!!!

You sir are an idiot, first you are looking in a 96-00 CIVIC Helms, Second the canister has the word purge printed right on it where the sensor plugs in, I dare your *** to find proof that I am wrong, proof that this isn't an integra canister and purge solenoid! Bitch! </TD></TR></TABLE>

your a **** face. You have no idea what your talkin about!!! yeah it says "tank" and "purge" on the canister, because the nipple next to "tank" goes too a vacuum hose that goes to the fuel tank, and the nipple next the "purge" connects a vacuum hose from the canister to the PURGE CONTROL SOLENOID!!!!.. The purge solenoid controls the vacuum flow from the intake manifold to the charcoal cansiter. There are only 2 kinds of charcoal cansiters, ones with the shut off valve, and ones without. Who cares its a 96-00 civic helms manual, acuras are made by honda, and the engine bays have the same lay out and evap equipment!!! What ever your dumb!!!! I challenged some one to prove me wrong, and you failed!!! DO A SEARCH.. Your mothers a bitch

I'm not gonna post something wrong or a lie!!! I replaced that valve and I know what its called!!!

EVAP purge control solenoid can be found on a stock GSR intake manifold not on the actual canister. I know cause when installing Skunk2 intake mani there is no spot for the solenoid so you have to mount it elsewhere.

it doesn't matter which one you buy. But I would say buy the one that fits your car if you have a ek buy one for an ek, if you have an eg buy one for an eg. The plugs might be different if you switcht them around but they both do the same thing. I have a used one off a ek, its in good shape and works. I sell it to you for $40 through ebay!!
They're new through honda for $112.
