I cant figure out why my battery keeps draining. The starter is good the alternator is good, the battery is good. It has two audiobahn 10's 3 capasitor batteries. Everytime i drive the car it wants to die. The battery just isn't getting enough power is there any aftermarket alternator i can get. Any way to check if i have a drain somewhere. It used to work properly until i changed my alternator.

 

I wonder if your alternator is working 100%... how do you know it's working it...well, at least 100%... Especially if things were fine before you put this one in.

I took it to a place that rebuilds them he said it was working. I need to find an aftermarket high output alternator. I think that will help solve a lot of the problems. I just cant find one anywhere. Im going to some car Audio places to see if they can find one for me. I just cant believe that no one with a Crx has a sound system. I cant find anyone who knows where to get a better alt. The stock one puts out 60amp when i have a 125-150 amp system.

 

lol your stereo overloads your engine. sounds like that chevy van on tv that the sole purpose of its engine was to power 12 alternators and 10 batteries.

 

the guy who looked at it said the stock sterio probably used around 10 amps and mine uses like 120 but it's only two freaking 10's it's not like i have 15's back there. He says he suggest taking it out but i dont wanna. I like having some bass in my music. there has to be some way to get a bigger alternator.
