Default 93 sol AT idle problem, Please help

So after the head got too hot and blew the headgasket(Which still ran for about a month until I could afford the parts...I can never say enough good things about honda motors) I finally got the head milled, new head bolts, new radiator, new headgasket I got everything done and it runs but now I have a strange idle problem. It's an auto tranny and when it's in park or neutral the idle will jump from 900-1200 rpms constantly yet when it's in gear it idles fine. Not sure what to check since it appears to be transmission related. Any suggestions welcome.

Mine has an idle a bit higher than normal when in Park, but it hasn't been much of a problem for me. I would just keep an eye on it

and yes, Honda engines own all...

EDIT: err did you mean it jumps between 900-1200 at idle, or is it just in that range?

vacuum leak? did you reuse your intake manifold gaskets? Make sure all the vacuum lines are plugged up, or capped off.

try cleaning out the iacv when i changed radiators and put some new coolant in it did that. there might be some metal flakes or some sort of debree. even if you dont see anything in there clean it out anyway

if its not that no biggy takes only 5 min to clean out the iacv.

Sorry I wasnt clear, it jumps from 900 to 1200 back down to 900 constantly. I got all new gaskets, exaust manifold, intake manifold, valve cover, head. The radiator might be a problem, but that was done before the headgasket was replaced and before I replaced the headgasket I didnt have the problem. I'm hoping it might be a loose vaccum line somewhere. I will also check the IACV. Thanks for the help guys.

So I checked all the hoses and connections and noticed that the IACV has a tube that plugs directly into the valve cover. I had that tube on but the clamp wasnt on, so I tossed the clamp on and let it idle for a few minutes and the issue seems to be resolved. Thanks so much guys, h-t is the best community :D
