It's basically that, I searched and couldn't find anything (wow, I really ask the wrong questions or I have really bad luck w/ this search tool) - Mine doesn't have a beep when u have the headlights on and u open the door, left 'em on twice when it was rainy and you couldn't tell anything was on but a cop would still give you a ticket if you didn't have 'em on..... I mean I caught 'em b4 I got 4 ft from the car, and this car is the first car I've ever forgotten to shut teh headlights off in :-\ -- So in the interest of not getting stranded somewhere, does anybody have any writeups on how to make it beep...I suppose I have to connect the headlight switch to the door switch somehow...word...or is this just too hard? Think it'll make a nice saturday project
Other question:
I did that makeshift amber cluster thing, bought red bulbs, plugged 'em in, the light right where my 60mph area is went dead...so I figured I touched it when I installed it....so I took the cluster out, and pulled the socket out, and put it to the left, where the left side of the tach is and plugged it in, needless to say I used process of elimination to define that it was the bulb, not the socket, so I put it back in and everything was good... Now yesterday I just noticed that the one all the way on the left side is out... I'm not sure if it's a bad socket...or a bad batch of bulbs or what, I can't seem to remember if the one all the way on the side was the one that I switched with the old socket, so I guess in the meantime I'ma just replace the bulb and see what happens.... I wanna get another cluster I think because my gas guage kidna sucks dick hardcore... I'll put it to like, just under full...and then like, it'll drop to a quater within like 5 minuts of driving...then like the next day it'll be where it should be (rihgt up near full) -- I'm not sure if that's a problem with civics or a problem with teh EX model or my guage cluster is fucked...
So if anybody has any solutions or info to any of those 2 (or 3) questions plz hit me up, kidna lost

im guessing your bulbs are just not in correctly. and if your going up and down hills all day. then that might be why ur meter goes up and down

Word....
My whole area is hills, I live in a valley (my town's a valley on a topographic map), but I didn't think taht would have an impact on the fuel guage, I mean when it's full, there's not a lot of room for it to splash around and lose some in, I mean sometimes it'll be down as low as half a tank....then be back up next time I look at it :-\
It hasn't happend w/ any of hte other cars I've driven/had
Iono about not in correctly, as far as I know for a light bulb, you plug the SOB in and wipe ur oils and **** off it....care to clarify the "not in correctly" part?
And thank you for the link, this willd ef. make a nice saturday project that'll be useful (not a vtec light :-P , no offense to everybody out there, just seems more like a light show than anythign else.. :-\)

really simple to install.
buy a buzzer from radio shack, and wire the red wire into the windshield wiper fuse and the black into the parking light fuse. if that doesn't work, switch the wires.
just check the bulb's connection points if theres any paint or what not that wouldn't allow contact. Could always test the bulbs also..
in my civic sometimes if i drive fast the meter will drop a bit til i hit a light and the fuel levels out(meter goes up a bit).. just one of those things, inless your always running on E then it shouldnt be an issue

wind shield wiper fuse? Wouldn't I want to include the door switch in there some place?
I guess i can give that a shot - thx
I don't think it's the connect poitns because they were working flawlessly for awhile
Ah, okay about the guage cluster, that's what happens I htink
