ok well we changed my fuel pump last week and put it all back together and everything seemed fine, at first the gas would go really low and back to about a 1/2 where it was supposed to be but then went back to normal after abpout 20-30min. then yesterday i went and filled it up and it went all the way past E what did we do wrong, or is the sending unit broke...i checked all the wires behind the cluster n stuff like that

 

Try taking it out agian and making sure that all the peaces are put in there the right way then try it make sure its secured

 

neone have anyother ideas before i take the gas tank n **** back out?

taking the gas tank out? you dont have an access panel to take out the pump inside the car? im not sure about 4th gens, but most have an access in the trunk or under the back seat...
