Radio got stoeln...now the dash lights won't work
Hey Y'all,
My radio got stolen last week and when I went to drive at night my dash lights would not come on. I assumed it was becasue the radio harness was cut and there was some kind of circuit for the illumination in there. Well, I got a radio harness from a salvage yard, spliced it back in, and put in a new aftermarket radio. Everything works great except that the dask lights are still not coming on. I checked all the other lights (headlights, tail lights, reverse lgihts) and everything is working great. I have checked all the fuses and none of them are popped. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the help,
AGT

It is a 1998 EX Sedan. I did read something about the multiplexer going out, but if that went out, would thier not be more symptoms then just the dash lights going out?
usually but you never know...........I just give what I know about from things that I have read about
take ur cluster out and look at the back of it and see if anything is burnt......if it is, you may be able to make a claim in order to get it fixed.......
I hate to continue to be a naive about it, but where is it and how do I get it out. I don't think that I am going to file a claim. The parts and labor (if I have someone else do it) is less than my deductable.

I have checked all the fuses in all the locations that I know fuses exist (under the hood, passenger side of the dash, and drivers side of the dash) and none of the puses appear to be popped. I checked the PCB on the back of the instument cluster and everythign there appears to be fine (I did not see any burnt marks).
I guess the next thing is to check the multiplex unit. Does anyone know where that is at? If I take it out is there someway that Honda or an electrician can check it?
