Valve cover cap? You talking about the oil filler cap? If so, why did you take it off while the car was running? Just curious.
But yeah, you'll more than likely get gases coming out of there. That's why you have a hose going from the back of the valve cover to the intake tube. To relieve the pressure on the top side of the head. It's normal. Don't sweat it.

except i was concerned about the blowing coming out of the oil filler cap.
yes i didnt know how to put it at first.
i do feel stupid for the way i put it.
but any ideas on why this is going on?

i thought someone answered your question....
if you car is running fine, then don't worry about it. there are moving parts in your valve cover, air will blow out of it if you take off the oil fill cap when it's running. air comes in your intake and into your valve cover, so air will blow out of any opening that you make in the valve cover.
also, TAKING OFF THE OIL FILL CAP WHEN THE CAR IS RUNNING IS EFFING STUPID! you could get burning hot oil splashed all over yourself and your car! where's that hammer emoticon when i need it...

I could have sworn I already said it was NORMAL. If you don't want air coming out of your oil filler hole SHUT OFF THE CAR.

Air pulsing out the oil filler cap is normal.
Smoke pulsing out is not.
I know the original poster did not mention smoke, i am just adding this in case anyone with a problem in the future runs across this thread while searching.
