Default D15B7 engine harness work with D16Z6?

I just swapped in a D16Z6 last night into my 93 DX hatch. The engine harness on the D16 was all spliced up and I didn't want to try and put it back together because the D15 harness was mint.

I removed the D16 harness and put it on the d16, obviously I need the VTEC pressure and solonoid wires to the ECU, but there is a sensore on top of the throttle body that requires a plug that's not on the d15 harness. My question is if I use a P28 ecu without that sensor will the motor run fine? Or do I need to wire that plug somewhere? This is a race car so emissions is not an issue.

Looks like it's the Map Sensor, the D15B7 doesn't have it. Do I need it on the D16Z6?

The d15b7 map sensor is mounted on the firewall, the plug should be the same (it was in the case of my crx, just used the firewall map plug in my new tb mounted map and it was happy).

Sweet thanks!

I was just reading further in my 1280 pages of PDF Helms and saw that.

Sweet, saves me a lot of work.

Yes. The D15B7 harness will work on the D16Z6 motor. If your Civic is a '92 non-VTEC(not '93-'95) it should be wired through the firewall for VTEC already. If not all you have to do is run 2 wires from the ECU for VTEC and VTEC oil psi. I think A4 for VTEC and D6 for VTEC oil psi. Good luck!
