Default Are windows supposed to work after car is off?

On my friends teg his windows work after his car is off is his car normal? ... He was wondering how he could fix that problem.

Is it just until the doors are open? I've had cars that do that, usually newer ones do.

No its after the keys are taken out of the ignition as I was like umnn dude I forgot to pull my window up and he said just push the swtich and they'll go up ..I told him dude the keys not in the ignition and he just said its been that way....

thats odd, does the radio work when its off? his battery doesn't drain?

my accord used to do this. i'd be able to roll it up and down until the door opens which is pretty cool. i wouldn't wanna fix it.

could be a wiring problem with the alarm? does his alarm roll his windows up?

I'm also thinking it's a wiring problem with the alarm.... sounds like the windows are connected directly to a constant power source instead of an ignition only source.

My windows wont work if the car is off unless I roll them up/down with the alarm remote. When I activate it rolls them up and if I hold the other button down it will roll both windows down leaving the alarm activated.

No if only my driver window switch would work properly.

i'm pretty sure it's some wiring that is messed up. did someone do some wiring on the car? alarm possibly? i know my alarm has the ability to do "window roll down" through the remote. so they might've glitched it. i wouldn't wanna fix it though. sounds like a pain the *** to do. it's like finding a needle in a hay stack. so many wires to go through....
