ok well i just bought a 93 sedan off my gf parents for cheap. i got it inspected and then the input shaft bearing started making noise now i know it wont last very long. now what is the best hydro tranny to get for a z6 motor?

 

Z6 tranny. Or if you can a Y8 tranny.

 

ok cool i want a closer ratio trans is the y8 have colser ratios than the z6 or is all about the mileage of the trans?

 

It does have a closer 5th I believe, but it's not enough to make a difference. If you are a baller than I suggest getting a 4.7 or 4.9 final drive. They do make it for D series trannies, just forgot who.
