Default another ecu thread *quick question* (hopefully)

Hi, i have a 98 dx coupe...with a 19t greddy kit...my question is...if i got this:
http://www.j-k-tuning.com/chip...8224e
would it just be some simple wiring and then taking it to a tuner and that would be it?...it says its a p06 with the conversion harness and it comes chipped with the three choices...so is that everything i would need besides a good tune?

thanks for the help

yeah that po6 comes chipped with a basemap and the conversion harness from obd1 to obd2. All you have to do is plug that in to your stock harness and it will be up and running to go get a good tune. for J-K-Tuning!!

hmmm... corrent me if im wrong, but i dont think this comes with a basemap

i "think" the reason they are asking for EMS is b/c they require slightly different chipping

crome requires J12 to be removed for datalogging
uberdata requires J12 in place for datalogging
hondata requires CN2 soldered in aswell as J12 removed i beleive

they also didnt specify what version of hondata either, the S300 requires prongs and not a socket

also no where on that link does it ask what motor/turbo size/boost psi/map sensor/ injector size etc..
all of those are required when making a base map

i doubt you will even get the motor started if you dont have a chip/basemap on a chipped ecu

towing the car would but its very costly, just burn a basemap, its not that hard

john can def get you a basemap when you order. your best bet it to just PM him with any questions. when i got mine i just made a note in the paypal with all the specs for the basemap. it started up right away, idled nicely and got me 2 hours to his house for some street tuning.

whoever tunes your car should provide you with a basemap to get you to the dyno

I bought a P06 from John awhile ago. It came with a basemap that blew my Emanage out of the water, even before tuning it was soooooooooooo much better than Emanage.

this was a 99 DX w/ 19t kit also.
