Hey whats up, I just read a thread on this board of a guy who is running a greddy turbo and spearco intercooler on his D16y7 non vtec at 8.5psi on stock internals. My question is, is this a safe setup for the long run, I was going to install a B16A2 this spring and I just read this thread this evening and now Im seriously thinking about turbo.

can anybody advise me because I have almost no clue of the positives and negatives!!!

 

so all you turbo people have no comment on my situation, please Id really appreciate any input, I have to decide wether to go B16A or turbo I cant afford both!!!

 

go for the b16, you will be more happy in the long run.

 

if you don't have enough money for both, put the B16A in first and drive around without the turbo. Save up some more money, then put the turbo on. Sooner or later you're gonna want to do an engine swap, because you will get bored of a D16 turbo sooner or later, and you're gonna feel sad when a B16A or B18C turbo smokes you so bad that you feel shy driving the thing on the road.
