I never drive when my tank is empty (below E), so I would like to know if there is a light that comes on when there is a very small amount of fuel left in the tank. I know that a lot of american cars, do this, even when there is enough fuel to drive for a few miles. ( I just want to know if there is a NO GAS idiot light)

my 95 EX doesn't have it, it's kinda a bummer

my GTI has a computer and it's like REFUEL NOW!!! on the screen and then a light comes on :-P

no light's really a bummer

 

well besides from the other two ill tell you what i know so far. the 96 and up have it but not so sure about the 95s and down. my 94 Dx doesn't have one, cause i drove past the E Lots of times and i never seen it. well thats just what i know anyways.

yea, there is no "idiot light" on the dash, so i believe the 92-95 do not have this light. I hear that the 96-up have it but it can get annoying, because the light comes on and stays on when there is about 1/4 gas in the tank. I think that honda gauges are innacurate aswell, since aftermarket tachs are more responsive, and there is still about 1 gallon of gas in th etank when it says E! 92-95 have 11.9 gallon tanks, and i filled up when i was on empty and it said 10.4 gallons at the gas station when it was compltely full.

 

my 99 EK didnt have one, but i recently changed my cluster to that from a 97 coupe... and it has it and it works, it would be on the far top right in the lights if you have one... its really nice to have.

NO GAS idiot light - the alternator or oil light could be used for that. If you have no gas the engine will die and the the alternator and oil light will come on.

92-95 civics do not have the light nor sensor in the tank for it. It can be added though.

 

No 92-95 Civics have them. Do you see a gas light? NO!

My friends friggin 80s Bronco even had one.
