Default Need help with Integra rotors?

I've been asking around to get some advise of which rotors to get for my 95 LS. I'm on a tight budget but the most I'm willing to spend is 100 for both front rotors.

I've been told that brembo slotted & drilled rotors are a waste of money and they work the same as the factory rotors but I do plan on getting the brembo brake lines and everything else... just not all at once.

can you guys help me out?

These are what I had my eyes on:

One of the main purposes of drilled/slotted rotors was to let the hot expanding gas from the brake pads escape so it doesnt cause the pad to float, preventing it from doing its job. That was back in the day.
Correct me if im wrong, but hasnt brake pad technology advanced to a point where the pads gas either not at all or in such a minute amount that it doesnt affect braking performance?

Purely cosmetic, i think drilled looks like a cheap attempt at Porche. Slotted look ok IMO, but I would go with blanks. They would also provide you with slightly more surface area on the rotor because there arent all the holes/channels where the pad isnt touching, which should equate to slightly better performance.

That said, Im still on stock rotors (blanks) with no issues

$21.99 ea at autozone for the duralast. many of the road racers and auto-xers here use them with no problems. I've had mine on with hawk hps, great combo.

went to autozone the other day, i picked up a set of 4 valuecraft rotors which are even cheaper then the duralast rotors but look exactly the same and obviously meet DOT or whatever standards have to be met, at least thats what i tell myself.

so anyway, it was about 50 bucks for all 4 rotors first of all, and for me the price difference was 50 vs's 200 for "brembo" blanks, im not knockin brembo in anyway but i had a set of brembo blanks on my car before the set of valuecraft's i have now, cant tell the difference so far, granted my rotors/pads are brand new. But it does appear that the pads i just recently installed (hawk hp+'s) broke in perfectly and have a really nice breaking suface area. (aka the "film" area).

anyway, i love the way the hawks feel, (WAAAAY better then my cracked all the way down the middle due to too much heat i suppose OEM pads)
