im lowered 1.9 in on my 97 ex sedan. Making tight turns i rub on my stock wheels and tires, 185/65/14, so im guessing your gona expletive up some tires and wheel wells. for 17 in wheels go for a 40 or a 35 series tire.and nothin bigger then a 215, IMO

Absolutely.

215 would be a stretch.

i run 205/45/16s and i rub when i hit a dip or turn fast.

i had to roll the fenders in order for it to stop rubbing when ever i touched the wheel.

with 205/16/45 on my lowered civic(1.9in) should i be worried bout the height of the tire or the width? (rubbing)

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by turnsignalandy &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">with 205/16/45 on my lowered civic(1.9in) should i be worried bout the height of the tire or the width? (rubbing)</TD></TR></TABLE>

do you know the offset?

my offset was weird, if you rub, first pull off the rubber trim inside the wheel well and see if it improves. if not, then you gotta roll.

i think its 38 offset, thats what it says on the rota site for circuit 8s. Which overall size will be closer to stock, 16s with 45 or 40 series. Stock is 14 with 65 series

well if you have your camber adjusted close to zero you may be more likely to rub.

but honestly, rolling the fenders isnt that hard at all.

To get as close as you can mess with this tire calculator.. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
