correct way to wire 500/1 JL amp to 2 12"JL W3s??
ok first i had tried to wire it the way it is on #1 in the diagram....when i did this...the left sub sound came out all distorted nasty while the right came out clean. when i hooked in the right alone the sound was nice. and then hooked in left alone sound was nice. but then im thinking the 2 subs together were not sounding right becuz of the way i wired a single channel amp (500/1 JL amp btw) do i need another amp or is the wiring in diagram #2 the correct way? if not can anyone help explain to me the correct wiring technique

how many voice coils do w3's have?
how many ohms are the subs?
you will probably want to connect the + from one sub to the other, and the - from one sub to the other, then the + from one sub to the amp's + and the - from that same sub to the amp's -...... assuming the w3's have only one voice coil. that is referred to as parallel. check your levels and filter on the amp. the audio forum would be a better place to post such a question.

it would help a lot if you didn't draw the wires as one... go to JL's website like was suggested....

haha sorry bout that...didn't mean to "*****" all over the forums
ok...so
so then the pos and neg wires leading out to the lower left of the diagram would go into the amp as drawn? so basically i could split the stereo/speaker wire...watever u call it and use one pos side to connect both subs and the neg wire to connect both subs and use those to plug into the amp?
