Some idiot thought it would be cool to break into my car and steal my radio last week and to do it they cut the master harnes. I need to rewire in a harness but I can't find anything that tells me what wires do what. I am in the process of moving so my Haynes manual is in a box somewhere. Can someone get me the schematic or type in what colored wire does what? I have a 1998 Honda Accord Sedan EX. Oh, and now my interior dash lights won't work so I am guessing that there is a circuire that was cut when the harness was cut. Any help would be appreciated.

just find out the hard way... take out the fuse.. and take a small battery and start puting wires minus and plus till u heard noise comin off ur speakers when u get all 4 u will be left with only a few wires left for power wont be hard to figure them out after u found all the speaker wires

 

I know which ones are the speaker wires. I just don't want to blow up my stereo by having the 12v power supply and 12v battery supply switched. Here are the wiring colors that I have found. I really only need help with a few:


Black(thick) - GROUND
White with red stripe
White with green stripe
Red with silver dots
Blue with green stripe - LEFT FRONT SPEAKER
Red with black stripe
Blue with silver dots
Black with silver dots (thin)
Grey with white stripe - LEFT REAR SPEAKER
Brown with white stripe - RIGHT REAR SPEAKER
Blue with yellow stripe - LEFT REAR SPEAKER
Red with yellow stripe - RIGHT REAR SPEAKER
Grey with black stripe - LEFT FRONT SPEAKER
Red with green stripe - RIGHT FRONT SPEAKER
Brown with black stripe - RIGHT FRONT SPEAKER

If someone knows or has a haynes or Chilton Manual, can you look it up for me and see if it says anything on the ones that I am missing?

as for the dash lights, the thug made a short and busted your multiplex. You’ll have to bridge 2 wires on the instruments as shown on youtube.
