yes it will fit, i put an f22a1 into my 92 ex, but i swapped manifolds to minimize HP loss. you'll only lose about 10c-hp.
but yea it'll fit no problem.

i know the EX is heavier, will this be a significant loss in HP? will my mileage change at all?

i dont know about doing mods or not, its a decent car but the heat/cold doesnt work neither the AC nor the power locks

perhaps i'll sell it

They are the same engine with a few differences. When you change engines, just keep your EX 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, dual runner intake manifold, and ecu. You won't lose any power this way.

I thought the profile of the cam from the A6 was different than the A4 as well. IDK, I may be way off there, thought I remembered reading that somewhere (maybe on CB7Tuner).

The other parts will be fine to swap as well.

You're right, the cam is different on the A6. I believe it's the only difference between the A4 and the A6...but I'm ignorant

those other parts, manifold, etc.

will the shop do that for me if i ask them? also is it possible that those parts could be damaged???, cuz they might try and tell me they are no good and then my a6 will end up parted out on ebay

i gota nice deal on the a4, its got about 130k on it but the guy put in a t -belt and is even sending the receipt belt along with the engine, not bad for 500 shipped, he said it looks like it had a tune up or refurbish job something or other. But i just want to get this thing going,

oh yea, will the 92 ex wheels, and those three parts fit on a 91 DX(f22a1)?

yes, the mechanic should do it if you ask, it's pretty simple while the motor is out. If not, just take the parts off yourself and do the work yourself, should take more than an afternoon or so to swap those parts.

No, the parts aren't messed up. No way could the intake or exhaust manifolds get messed up from the timing belt breaking. I highly doubt you would have damaged the camshaft either, I mean your pistons would have had to drive your valves back real hard to even possibly cause damage to the cam, but I could be wrong. I would think the valves would just bend before damaging the cam.

You should have no problem swapping those three parts onto either the F22A4 motor your getting as a replacement or your F22A1 in the other car. Pretty much everything is swappable between the F22A1, F22A4 and F22A6 as far as I know.

As for the rims, any rims from the 90-97 Accords and 98-02 4cyl Accords will work just fine on either of your Accords.

If your planning on selling one of your Accords, put the F22A6 parts and rims of your choice onto the car your keeping and then put the other parts on the other car your selling.
