D16z6...what turbo?
I'd like to get a turbo that spools quick but also has power to redline....I read a lot about the t25/d16 combo, but some people say it stops making power after 5500+ RPM's while others still make power. I also read about t3's making lots of top end power but took a little longer to get going(again I focused on d16 fitment). ....My goal is 200"ish" HP....and the car would rarely get to the track to race....mostly in-town driving. Would a basic t25 or basic t3 be the best option? Thanks.

super 60 T3 or 28R should be perfect for you. Get a 28RS if you can afford it, or use a Mitsubishi 16g if you want a wonky inlet flange, but a cheap turbo.
for 200ish whp, a t3 42/48 will suit your needs. it'll pull to redline and spool up fast
or a t3 super 60 (it'll have a nicer top end).
most junkyard turbos (factory dsms and such) will achieve 200hp on a d16...

I'm running a TD04 14G and I love it. Only Jesus blowing into the turbo could cause it to spool faster.
I managed a 13.7 w/ bad clutch and street tires.
For daily driving it kicks ***. Fast spool, it screams like a banshee, and the look on the faces of fat chicks in Monte Carlos as you blow by them is enough to make anyone smile.

How close to a t25 is the TD04?

I'm not really sure. It's bigger than a WRX turbo by a bit.
I'd say you can probably cover the compressor housing with your hand.

im going for the 14b...a lot of people make home made kits with it. same td04h turbo from mitsubishi's. thinking of what...250hp after i rebuild my motor? maybe running one bar will make 250hp on a d16z6.
I'm going with a T3 .60 trim with .48 A/R turbine (.60/.48) on my y7/y8 mini me setup. They spool fairly quickly and will make power throughout the sohc redline.
