yank it off and bust all the crap in it out of it.... wont ever glog up again.
if your worried about obd2 emissions test, try using a mechinal o2 sensor fix.
(serch hoonda-tech, youll find out all about it)

if your obd1 youll need to replace it for emissions, your local muffler shop should have a universaL one you can put on / have put on fairly cheap.

if you have obd2 and want to be legal about the whole messed up emissions test / "money making scam for the state" you'll have to replace the cat.

catco should make a direct replacement for your car. shouldnt be that much.
also local muffler shops should also having an obd2 cat for you they can put on your car.
obd1=95' and before obd2=96 and newer (i say screw emissions test! lets run open pipes!)

by the way, stay away from ebay cats, especially the used ones, your probably gonna get one that wont pass or already be glogged up

i would imagine you could just clean out your cat because the material it is made out of will no rust, its just dirty. The only thing that would render it useless is if it was missing chunks of the honeycomb shaped material in it. And no, i dont think a cat from a 96-00 will fit unless you cut and weld it because the wheelbase is different (i may be wrong, but that is what common sense tells me). Good luck!

if you want a direct bolt in GO TO HONDA!
if not you need to have a universal welded to flanged/piping to bolt inot your exhaust.

How do you know you need a new one? You said you "think" you need a new one. Check out the tests here with a simple vacuum guage.

I know you don't want to weld and ****, but if you can't find one then do this:

Buy a flowmaster or whatever universal cat.

Buy a 2 bolt and a 3 bolt flange from autozone, napa, whatever.

Weld the flanges on. Bam, it'll bolt right up.
