Default LOSS OF POWER?

i have a 99 honda civic ex coupe w/ a b18b1 swap in it. latly my car will bogg down when you press the gas pedal all the way down. and sometimes wont even start. i just had the timing belt and water pump replaced. timing is dead on. i just did a tune-up on it (cap, rotor, wires, and plugs) it helped a little but not much. my check engine light will come on when i am driving but noone can check the stored codes b/c i have a converter for the ecu to obd1 ls ecu. i am thinkin o2 sensor but i want to be sure before i get one. any help would be greatly appreciated.

it is also possible that your plugs are gapped wrong...or ignition timing...firing order...how have you verified your valve and ignition timing?

when the engine is running does it sound like a lawn mower? if so, your spark plug wire is not in the right order

i cant get the codes checked b/c it is converted to an obd1 ecu, and they can only read obd2, it wont make a connection with the ecu. i check around for vacum leaks didnt see anything

Change the ecu to obd2 again and go from there if it runs good it might be your conversion harness. If its your o2 it should throw a c.e.l

it will be the one before the catalytic converter (this controls the a/f mixture.) on an obd2 car, the o2 after the cat is mostly to check the operation of the cat/emissions. if you're running obd1, then the one on the manifold or before the cat (whereever yours is located) is the one you want to swap out.
