LOSS OF POWER?
i have a 99 honda civic ex coupe w/ a b18b1 swap in it. latly my car will bogg down when you press the gas pedal all the way down. and sometimes wont even start. i just had the timing belt and water pump replaced. timing is dead on. i just did a tune-up on it (cap, rotor, wires, and plugs) it helped a little but not much. my check engine light will come on when i am driving but noone can check the stored codes b/c i have a converter for the ecu to obd1 ls ecu. i am thinkin o2 sensor but i want to be sure before i get one. any help would be greatly appreciated.

i cant get the codes checked b/c it is converted to an obd1 ecu, and they can only read obd2, it wont make a connection with the ecu. i check around for vacum leaks didnt see anything

cool i will be putting one of these in today, hopefully it will fix my problem b/c my gas went from 350 miles per tank to like 250 per tank.

thats just stupid... were do you live?... the autozone by my house has diagnostic tools for obd0,1,2... do you know anybody with a data logger?

Re: LOSS OF POWER? (kleanlscivic)
Change the ecu to obd2 again and go from there if it runs good it might be your conversion harness. If its your o2 it should throw a c.e.l

awesome... thats good... man i cant believe those autozones dont have the obd0 and 1 plugs, man you should invest in a data logger... well, i need to get one too

Re: (kleanlscivic)
it will be the one before the catalytic converter (this controls the a/f mixture.) on an obd2 car, the o2 after the cat is mostly to check the operation of the cat/emissions. if you're running obd1, then the one on the manifold or before the cat (whereever yours is located) is the one you want to swap out.

Re: (DestructoEH)
thanks man. i bought an o2 sensor off of one of my buddys well it is actually the one for the cat itself, do you think it would be alright if i cut an spliced the other connector onto it? using heat shrink and it and all that good stuff? i mean thats how the universal ones are. let me know guys
