Default cant start up !

i have a 1990 si with a dohc zc , changed the dis. cap and rotor with new spark plugs. but everytime i start it in the cold its fine but when i try to start up when its warmed up it has trouble or doesnt even start at all. and i been getting the code 4 and i think its 17 my speed sensor , not sure though . could it be my dist that needs to be replaced or my alternator? cause both are getting kind of old. and when driving i won't be able to pass 3k ... thanks

Yeah that 17 is vehicle speed sensor and the code 4 is crank position sensor

Does your spedometer work? If your car is in limp mode, its probably code 4 thats doing it. (Correct me if i'm wrong) I think the crank position sensor is inside the dizzy.

fix the crank sensor issue and check the main relay.
main relays have a problem with cold solder joints and sometimes wont start when its hot outside
