Default Expecting the unexpected..engine swap

I'm about to do an engine swap in from 98 civic. For all of my life I have had the worst luck imaginable. Even my friends give up trying to be positive anymore. I just have bad luck.

So like I said, car is 98 civic dx with shitty d16y7 (150k+ miles. Odo stopped at 127,300 a looong time ago) leaking oil all over the place and the trans has about 3 bad bearings.

New engine I bought about a year ago has just been sitting in a garage. Its a d16y8 from a '00 civic ex. It has only 15k miles on it. It has its own flywheel. Should I be okay using the flywheel from the new engine? I've also bought a tranny from a 98 civic ex. Its a manual and my car is too so that part should be easy. I'm buying a new clutch.

Trying to expect the unexpected. Any advice?

They're almost the same. After the install I'm adding a greddy 5th gen turbo. Preparing to buy it today or tomorrow.
