man you can do it, but its fun work. you need a different ecu, distributor, the manifolds are much diff., new injectors, need to get a new throttle body for map sensor mounting, unless you mount it on the firewall and runn some vaccum lines. oh and a couple mounts are diff. not to mention the cable vs. hydro transmission. I would reccomend selling the first gen and saving up a bit, cause it will be more of a headache and cost more than you think. plus coolant temp sensor is mounted on back of block instead of thermostat housing, so you have plenty of wiring fun ahead of you.

Just, find a obd1 distributor, complete obd-1 GSR!!!intake manifold and obd1 ecu, id say get a chipped p28. Bam your done. the GSR intake mani will make a slight increase in acceleration.

easy answer use your harness your dizzy cut a leg off or a obd1 b16/b18c a thermo house;n from a obd1 b18/b16 and thats it all others sensor are the same ive done it plenty of times/ use your stock injectors and the throttle body if it has the map sensor on it then your good if not get a vacuum line put it on there and done nothing too hard.

thats more or less what i was thinking. i have most of it already, (garage FULL of random parts) just bought another hatch and wanted to through what i had laying around into it, but it was purchased with no engine/tranny in it. so i dont have the stock dizzy or injectors and what not but i will just buy a complete intake mani.
