ok so my guy just swapped a b18b w/turbo kit into his 99 ek hatch and it like cuts out at 3500,like it hits redline but at 3500-4000,kinda like my limpmode for my obd0 ls,does anybody have any ideas y it would be doin this,

its a b18b w/t3/t4 turbo kit and it was all changed over to obd1

any help would be good thanks

 

is he running any fuel management? does it only do it under boost?

 

Do you have an aftermarket map sensor? Or what?

 

no,and no,it came out of a running car he has stock injectors and a FMU(yea i know that **** sucks i have been tryin to tell him,he is goin to get it chipped and tuned when the car is running good)

maybe if he got it chipped and tuned it would run good. lol

 

if your still running stock map, then thats most like why its cutting out, the stock map is reading boost, and once it reads like more than 1 pound of boost, it will cut out, u need check valves or a missing link, stock maps were not made to read boost, go get the ECU chipped
