I wanted to know does anyone know what it take, or how to hook up the oem CTR navigation unit, or where to get the stuff i need to get it working right. right now i have the whole unit and the CTR dashboard wiring harness. I have a 98 coupe.

they use a type of navigation cd that is for japan and doesnot normally work in the US..I have heard of some that do thou

 

won't the nav system be confused that you are 5000 miles away?

 

what do you mean by getting it to work? As in wiring? or as in the right program to actually get the navigation to locate/direct you?

hooking it up.. you need the unit itself, the brain and all the plugs for each. The fact that you have the CTR harness is helpful .. did it come from the same car as the navigation? Not all CTR's had the navigation so it could be useless.

Na, the actual unit and wiring harness is from two different cars. I thought that every type R was still wired for the navigation. I got the unit i never seen a brain with any of the units is it a way i could get a diagram pinout of the harness or a way to get in contact with someone in japan.
