Helping a friend put his EK CTR together. The original Jspec harness is in the bay, and the built motor was just dropped in. The only thing I can't figure out, is the distributor. I've never really dealt with an OBD II wiring problem before, since I've always worked on 88-95's. I'm looking at 2 different things.

The CTR bay harness has 7 wires on one of the plugs, and the JDM ITR distributor we picked up has 9 wires. Went for initial startup to get some codes, and came up with TDC and ignition output.

I've heard there are actually 2 different distributors with different plugs, but need more info. Is the JDM CTR distributor completely different? Would a US distributor be plug and play?

Does anyone have a wiring diagram, or any idea where I'm going wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Match the wire colors up and tell us what color wires are left.

For sure, one is red, the other I belive is dark gray.
