oki have a 94dx coupe with 2000 si swap on it. im running a factory p28 and have ran all the wires for vtec. still throwing check engine for IAT but my motor doesn't come with one..is that why my vtec wont engage??or does it go further than that??ius there any other way to bypass that without chipping out my ecu??lmk really wanting to feel this in my car!!!

 

Wait, you can't run an unchipped P28 for your B16. The EG harness does not have the IAT. You need to chip the P28 or get a P30. Nevertheless, your VTEC should have kicked in.

 

so my vtec should be working??well i'm using a 99gsr engine harness with a stock p28..

P28 won't look for a knock sensor

 

why will stock p28 kill my motor??it runs perfect...i guess it will run lean or something??i dunno i would trust a stock p28 more than a chipped out one?or am i wrong?

 

your wrong. the p28's fuel map is designed for that motor which uses per say less fuel in spots then the b16. Now you can run a p30 on a single cam, it will jsut be rich in some spots..
Get your ecu chipped, or find a p30..

I don't think the IAT sensor would casue ur vtec not to kick in...I could be wrong though.
