Default a stupit question on how to drive

Hi there, sorry for this stupit question =D
I have d16y7 with crx si tranny, intake manifold, and pm6 ecu

ok here we go...

At what rpm you need to shift from 1rst gear to 2nd gear ?????

because I take my 1st gear up to 5k and I cant shift to 2nd..... THe feeling is like shifting from 5th to reverse... like something holding it....

This only occurs at high rpms and at full throttle......

maybe im just a nub that doesnt know how to drive ....

lol

simple terms, you need a tranny rebuild since from what it sounds like (no offense) you know nothing about repairing cars

if it doesnt shift into second then its not working fine, either the syncro is bad or something else is bad, which normaly means you'll have more problems down the road if you dont fix it

its your syncro! yes low rpms it may work...but like you said high rpms it doesnt...eventually it will not go into place at low rpms....

you may beable to resolve the problem with changing the Trans fluid/oil whatever you want to call it...to the GM synromesh...do a search on it...I did and it fixed my 2nd-3rd grind...It wont fix it instanly...it takes a few hundred miles...try it...cheaper then a rebuild.

thanks for the advice guys...

Another thing that might be the problem is that I think that my shift linkage is loosen....

After I changed the engine mounts of the car, I saw that when the shifter is at a gear, when I release the gas, the shifter mooves........

Sometimes im in 2nd gear and I release the gas pedal and my shifter goes to Neutral LOL......

I Bought some new shifter bushings already....

But, can that be the cause of my problem ? shift linkage loose ?

try adjusting your clutch cable... if not then go to advance auto parts and ask for pennzoil syncromesh... youll need two quarts... have a shop throw that in your transmission and drive around for a few weeks and see if that helps... if not then just go to a junkyard and get a new transmission... they can easily be had for $100 or sometimes cheaper
