Default newbee turbo guy needs help

hey honda-tech, i am a noob to turbos and would like some help. i have a 99dc4 w/ a fresh ls motor that i wanna boost. i know for sure i wanna do a complete bolt on kit that will be reliable due to the fact i daily drive this car 6 months outta the year. i am torn between the drag kit and revhard kit. can you guys please give me some input, kind a like a drag vs. revhard type deal.

i myself am leaning a littel toward the drag kit just because it use a lot more name brand parts. but again i am a noob. thanks alot joe

Go with the Revhard turbo kit, very reputable company and reliable parts, but thats just me, i kno quite a few people who talk highly about Revhard turbo kits, and how they are moving up the ladder. But thats just me though. good luck!

pretty much they are the same. i'd say revhard has a slightly better wastegate placement but i dont think its really a big deal.

both come with the fmu for fuel management which i think you should ditch in favor of a chipped ecu and a decent ems program.

should read the rules so your post doesnt get deleted. but i would choose whatever YOU want since its going to be on your car. just read around in the FI forum. there is much to be read over ls turbo. i was on a thread the other day about all these peeps showing there setups and hp #s. very good thread
