Default Door panel removal

The hatch I bought has fucked up window regulators. Or I should say the part the handle itself attaches to is all chewed up... Either way, search is down. I've got the panel almost off. I have looked this up before and it said there was something I need to hook and pull out... HELP!

Bump. I'm outside with the socket set, flashlight, and a wire hanger waiting to do this.

ok i just did this so here you go.

1. open the door
2. remove the speaker cover and three screws that hold in the speaker
3. remove three more screws that hold the door panel on right around the speaker
4. remove one screw under the door handle/lock part
5. remove one screw in the tray thing that you put your hand in to shut the door
6. pull on the panel to pop out the clips. start at the bottom front and work your way back on the bottom.
7. once there all off pull up and back on the panel to get the top off. it sits in a little groove.

then ur done

o ok. you have an eg with no power windows. I have a 99 si so its different. All i had to do was unplug the wire harness for the power windows.

Ive done it on my crx which has no power windows. That clip is in there and is the biggest bitch to remove. They even make a special tool for removing it. Best bet is to try and move the panel in a lot and get a screw driver to pry it out. sorry i couldnt help more.

Ooookay. I got it, thanks guys. Once I found out about that pin, it was tons easier.

For future reference, I just got some small vice grips, pushed the door panel back a bit, and clamped them down on the two ends of the pin. That little bitch flew right out. Simple.

Thanks again!
