Swapping a K20 6spd into a D16 Auto Civic - need Help
hey, Swapping out my D16 and This is what i Have...
K20 Motor with 9,000 Miles
Hydraulic Tranny
ECU (PRB)
Axles with Half Shaft
Shift Cables
Stock Motor Mounts
Alternator
Starter
Clutch
Flywheel
Intake Manifold
Exhaust Manifold
Fuel Rail
Injectors
Distributor
Engine Harness
And All the sensors needed
Im converting it from a stock automatic civic, WHAT am i going to need outside of this list?
Im also looking for SI gauges from a 2000 Civic. What would i need to hook those up to the K20 ECU...
any help or advice you can give me would be super appreciated... Thanks

your going to need the tools to convert auto to manny.. like clutch master cylinder, clutch lines the clutch pedal and a brake pedel for m/t cars so it wont be a tight fit. also a clutch resoviorsp? just to name a few
ur going to need aftermarket motor mounts to do the swap...from hasport, avid, hybrid-racing
do you have the rsx shifter box?
your going to need a fuel line kit since the RSXs dont use a return fuel system like the civics and integras use
u also need a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator like a AEM or aeromotive
also, the stock type s exhuast manifold wont work with swaped civics or tegs....you can use a TSX stock exhaust mani or a aftermarket header

go on k20a.org, you'll find most of your questions already answered there. You will also need hybrid k series motor mounts for eg, either by hybrid racing, hasport or avid racing. You'll also need a custom wire harness (rcrew racing, hybrid-racing and hasport), k-pro or rsx type r ecu, custom axles or diy oem k inner and b outer axles, tsx dc header or other expensive headers for k20 like lovefab or rcrew.
I'm sure there is more needed to do the kswap but check out k20a.org, you'll find everything you need there.

your also going to need a custom clutch line since the tranny sits on the drivers side now.
you are going to need a EP3 idler pulley & belt since u cant really use the RSXs power steering (the EP3 has electrical power steering)
since ur chassy is originally an automatic ur probably going to have to use a shifter mount kit and cut a hole in the shifter tunnel...I have pics to show u an example but they are at home right now

so do you have a jdm k20a type r swap? or usdm k20a2 (RSX-S) k20a3 or k20z1 or k20z3? hope you are not planning on getting it off ebay
