I was driving down the road and it started sputtering and then died. CEL came on and i got a code 16? what is it and whats wrong with the car? any help appreciated.

 

what car?

16 for EF is injectors.

read up on that but it might not be the injectors

 

yea its for an ef hatch 91. I just replaced the distributor and it was running and now it died again?

 

the distributor controls the injectors. sometimes when you change the distributor, a few of the wires gets pushed out of the connector. i would check that first.

you hvae to be more specific. do you have the dpfi, mpfi? what engine d15b?

 

Its a 1.5 dual point. I went back to it and i cranked it and it started right up got a few blocks up and it died. Pulled the injector plugs off and put them back on and it ran for another block and died.

 

i bet 95% its the injector resistor

its under the dashboard right above the hood latch puller

 

what that it is disconnected or i have to replace it? What kind of resistor? have em at pepboys?

 

ai ****, i dont know what i was typing, not injector resistor, i meant main relay haha under the dash above the hood pull. disreguard the injector resistor comment. dpfi doesnt have one. check the main relay

 

maybe you're out of gas? lol
