So since I'm bored here at work, I've started having my random thoughts. Happens alot.....

So I thought, "I wonder if I can add A/C to my Civic?". I did some searching but nothing turned up. Most people are taking the a/c out. Understandable if you want some added power. But this will be my daily driver, so power isn't a big concern for me.

Is this possible? If so, what would I need? The only thing I could think of is the compressor, but that's just because that's the only part of the a/c I know. I found one for $70 which didn't seem too bad. Obviously I'd need some sort of controls for it as well. This may get too costly, but I figured I'dd see what you guys say.

 

you need:
compressor
reciever/drier
condensor (radiator looking thing)
all the lines (high and low side)
fan
fan switch
pressure switch
fan inside the car that blows out of the vents (heater core from a car with AC)
AC button inside the car
basically the whole right side of the dashboard less <the glovebox>.
and the AC wiring harness

 

Hmm. That's a long list and it looks like it could get pricey......
