i tried to do it today and ended up just busting one of the pads cuz they wouldnt go on. it also seem like the piston wouldnt go back when i tightend the C clamp on it. any ideas?

 

hmm. piston should have callapsed. i like using the actual tool for that instead of a c clamp though.. get a helms or chiltons and look at the pics..

 

That piston may be seized up in the caliper. How long has it been since you changed them before? Make sure you have the right pads for the car. You shouldnt have to force it into place. Like he said, get a haynes. They are very informative.

 

rear calipers turn in....you need a special tool to do it available at napa autozone or wutever parts store you have...it looks like a lil box with pins coming out of the corners. use a 3/8's ratchet with an extension and just turn em in.

 

ah i knew there was some tool for the rears can u "turn it in" with out that tool?

 

thatd be one hell of a BFS....never tried something else i have the tool so i use it. its like 9 bucks just save yourself the headache and go buy it.

i just used a large face flat head screwdriver to turn mine in

 

do you turn it clockwise or counter clock wise?

 

clockwise in....like a regular screw. but I believe you still have to push really frickin hard too, not just twist
