Default what about the Ex

I'm looking to buy the new civic in the next month, After carful thinking, Is it worth the extra money, plus over sticker, plus insurance, plus the price of premium gas to go out and buy the Si? The ex to me seems just as good with a B18? people would love to through a b18 into an old civic wounldn't they? I searched and found nothing on this topic anyone care to leave their opinion?

Don't get the new 1.8L confused with the old integra B18 engine. You will not see older civic owners wanting a new B18 engine. The performance is going to be limited since the exhaust manifold is built into the cylinder head, so you can't tune the exhaust with headers, like you used to.

Yeah I'm diggin my sedan as well. I wish Honda would be "considerate" and throw a 6th gear on it though. At 65mph in 5th gear i'm just a sliver under 3k rpms (how am i supposed to get 38 miles per gallon?)

Its strange though, I was doing 85-90mph for about an hour on the highway at 4k rpms in 5th gear and my gas mileage didn't seem any different than when I drove 70-75mph.

Yea but what aftermarket parts will I be limited from by having my exhaust manifold built into the engine?

It will really hinder the aftermarket parts for our cars. Even greddy, the company notorious for making turbo kits for almost every car out there, claims that they probably aren't making a turbo kit for the sedan, i don't know about the coupe.
