Alright I went to change my tranny fluid today. I was trying to take the filler bolt off and stripped it into almost a circle( I wanna beat whoever put it back in that tight, unless it has never been taken off from the factory).
How do I get the bolt off? Also is there any other way to fill the tranny? I read that you can fill through the speed sensor, but does that mean you have to fully remove the whole housing for the sensor.
I have a 91 Hf w/ a Z6 and a 91 Crx Si tranny.

He means the 17 mm bolt on the back end of the tranny.
Let me tell you our trick for messed up bolts, you easy out them, then you get a new one from Honda, they cost hardly nothing, or you can get a new one from a scrap yard in any honda manual tranny.

Well vice gripping it did absolutely no good. The bolt is a nice circle. I am beginning to think this plug has never been pulled in 15 years. So an easy out is my only way, will it even fit in to get the bolt, since there is not even enough room for a socket.
Is there any other way to fill the tranny?
Would removing the fill plug have even helped in a case like this, I doubt it.

What does the plug under the starter look like?
Grrr, this **** is annoying. Why do people have to tighten the bolt so much, freaking ridiculous.

Under the gold colored 19mm hex.
On stuff like this, make sure you use a six point socket
or six point box end wrench otherwise it will just round off..
Cheap tools often provide bad results..
You might try a good (rigid) pipe wrench like for plumbing to
get the fill plug out as it is designed to turn pipe which is round...

Hmm, if only my tranny was pulled would that be easy to get to.
Should I pull the passenger side tire off to get to that plug?
Do you have a bigger pic of that?

You guys must have small hands or small tools, cause you make it seem so easy to get to these pieces and get them off, lol. I will look into the starter plug tomorrow.
one time i had to lay under a guys car, and kick the end of the wrench ******* hard to get that basterd out.
i found the only thing that gets that bolt unstuck is tapping power, not constant torqueing pressure..
when u fill it make sure u get the specs on how much to put in, since u cant use your filler hole for the right level..

The thing I did was to fill it up from the drain plug. Ask one of your friends and unbolt the drain plug, so it is completely empty. After that, buy the gear fluid (the tip should be sharp) and squeeze (force) it in and when you get about 1/3 in, take it out and make your friend cover it with their thumb (it will leak fast, so do it quickly). Refill the bottle so it if full again and repeat the process over until you put in like 2 quarts.
The tricky part is to put the drain bolt back.
