Default Car won't Move, Axles don't Spin???

Yesterday I driving my car in 2nd gear and it felt like it popped out of gear or like the axle came out but after I opened the hood and looked at the axle in gear, THEY WERENT SPINNING!!

Recently I have been having a problem with my differential, I had the trans apart and diff out of it to look at what I thought were bad diff bearings but my mechanic said they looked fine.

I thought there was a problem with the diff cause the car shakes under load (read thread: "Bad Diff Bearings, Spider Gears YS1?")

Im fed up with this shaking problem & now to top it off the car wont even move!!!! Im ready to just buy a new tranny but wanna make sure thats my problem.

What else can I look for to tell if the diff is definitely bad or not?

Thanks in Adv. to all that have helped me in different threads thruout this reoccuring prob....

I had bad vibration problems when accelerating. I would replace axles, and the problem would return again. Ended up that my bolts to the rear mount bracket had vibrated out, and the engine was tilting under acceleration. This caused the inner joints on the axles to fail causing the vibration.

Check your rear torque mount. Swap axles again.

before you swap axles...do what Schister says and check to make sure they are clipped in fully...if you didnt put them in properly they can slip out

UPDATE: OKay so I found my problem it was my driver side axle cv @ the wheel side was seperated. So i retunred and got a new one. But I have been having SO MANY axle problems since I did the swap that I feel like somethin is causing all these problems. Also my shake under load* is getting worse and worse, and the play @ the pass side axle @ the case is getting worse too.

* @ 3000rpm's the whole front end shakes under load (wheel, doors everything!)

I know sumthin is worng because we felt my boys 99 GSR and he doesnt have any play where the axle goes into the case on pass side like I do. Whats up here? we had the trans out and looked @ diff bearings, they seemed fine and Im not leakin any tranny fluid or nething. It feels like the axle is in the splines but not tite in the carrier, almost like its the wrong axle.....
