prolly wants to upgrade the stock rods (which are good to about 300hp) to something forged. Maybe he wants to run more boost ... lets see what he says ...

Default h23 and f22; same rods

crower if you can afford them. they are damn near $700.

probe made(makes?) h23/f22 rods and were around the $300 range. read somewhere that they are comparable to eagle rods. but i cant find them anywhere. maybe discontinued? i know dlb1994 is running them in his h23 and he's making around 460whp.

importbuilders.com has f22/h23 h beam rods for $335. i think at one point they were just probe rods but touched up w/ bigger rod bolts and rebadged. but on their site it says as of 2005 their rods are personally designed. ive heard some good things about IB.

and then theres the no name generic h beam forged rods that i have yet to hear any feedback on.

use an OEM oil pump. crower rods are nice but pricey...

Hey B, Crower made rods for your F23 as well right? Care to share how much that lightened your wallet?

I'm guessing part number CR-B93749B-4 from Race engineering for $700?

yeah they were $700. not sure on the part # but they are specifically listed only for the F23.

carillo also makes a set for raceeng.com but they are even pricier than crowers.

i really wished eagle made rods for f22/h23

Spark racing rods (I would be iffy on trying them): http://www.sparkracing.com/pro...d=185
Depending on how much power you're running you could also cryogenically treat your stock rods.

Here's a thread on oil pumps: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1573353
KMS also modifies oil pumps: http://www.honda-performance.c...d=284

Hope this helps.

what hp can stock rods hold upto do you guys think? I know there were some people pushing 300hp on stock internals with an f22bx motor. I think the ringlands were the weak point then, but dont quote me on that

How much power could stock rods (worked over) handle hp/rpm/boost

worked over meaning polished beams, re shot peened and resized w/ arp rod bolts.

with forged pistons.
