Help with crankshaft codes + color bearings
Hi!
My 2002 Honda Civic DX recently broke down because of hydro-locking. I'm repairing the car myself with the help of my friend, and the only thing that keeps me from completing the job are those damn connecting rod bearings.
A Honda technician told me that I had to locate a 4-digit number on the crankshaft that equals the colored bearings I should use on my car. Another person told me that I could go buy a set of green bearings because they are the "standard size" bearings of Hondas.
Does anybody here knows a little more about this? Could I mess up the car again if I use all bearings color green? Does the crankshaft code vary from vehicle to vehicle, or do all 2002 Civic DX use the same set of bearings?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

u should get a manual..... other wise everything that your doing is a shoot in the dark, look at the crank theres numbers and letters. well the letters are for the rods, now look at the rods there numbers write these down get a manual and go to town. there isnt a standard bearing, greens are common but there is pink, yellow, green, brown, black etc.
id get a manual even if its a hyanes
