Rotten Egg Smell = Catalytic Convertor gone bad ?
I'm getting a bad smell of eggs or sulfur for a while now on my crx.
My car burns a lil oil.
My car has a new O2 sensor in 2004.
My car fails emissions in 2006.
What could it be ? could it be a bad cat ?
Should I remove it ?

I have the same problem. Its the smell from the oil burning inside your combustion chamber. I have a New CAT with an old o2 sensor.

But you're right too, bad CAT converter smells too.

I have this same problem, but only if I go full throttle will it start to smell. I had my whole exhaust changed (from after the cat) and I looked inside of the CAT and it still looked good?

It's actually not the cat that's really at fault. Rather, this smell results from running a rich mixture and/or trying to burn out oil that has entered the cylinders. Remember that petroleum products contain sulfur. And this is what the cat does with that sulfur when there is too much of it. The smell intensifies if you floor the throttle because the ECU enrichens the mixture further when you do so. But regardless, this smell doesn't mean that the cat is necessarily bad. But it means the cat could go bad soon if the underlying problem is not remedied.
