Why dont you motor swap it if not turbo the f22a itself? Its not like your going to feel much difference. What is it like 5 hp difference between the b1 and the a6 or whatever trim you have? BTW its vtec.

vtech makes engine heads? wtf

its VTEC.

and why would you want to do that swap? just because you can say you have M4d vt4k?

learn more about vtec, learn more about how engines work. Then come back and think about doing the headswap.

It's really not worth the power you'll gain. Plus, the ax heads have better port geometry if you ever decide to go for huge hp.

I gave you good advice. It's NOT WORTH IT. Now get a better attitude or expletive off.

Edit: Also they are right. Search. I can recall this topic being covered numerous times before.

There's a 15hp difference between the f22a1 and f22b1. To swap heads you would need a new ecu, new timing belt, valve cover gasket, head gasket, head studs, wire up vtec, and switch two pins on the main harness. All for 15 hp. Honestly I see no advantage to doing this swap.

Not worth it. SOHC VTEC is junk. If you want power find a H23 (non VTEC) or a H22, and swap the whole motor.

Once again, dude I just asked a freakin logic question. All I want to know is if people would suggest this swap or not.

we hate it when under educated people(you) post stuipd *** questions like this. its simple ******* math. figure out how much one engine has, figure out how much the other has, subtract and you get the horse power difference. Now figure out if X amount of power is worth Y amount of money and Z hours of work.

I mean ****, common sense. If I had everything at my disposal, all the things needed fo the swap, for free, i would do it. Its not much of a task for me to do a head swap.
