Problem Removing Rear shock. can someone help please!!!!
I got my KYB AGXs today so i wanted to change them but i was having a problem taking out the bolt on the bottom of the rear shock in the pic.
This was the only bolt i tried to take out in the rears but they didn't seem to want to budge....does anyone know what i can do to take them out? My car is low in the front and really high in the back. I used some super industrial lubricant and i even used so air tools...NOTHING ...does anyone have any advice? thanks

Let bolt soak for a while with WD-40 or the like....
Put appropriate sived socket on bolt and whack the hell out of it with a hammer.
Use a longer ratchet handle, or a regular one with a "cheater handle"(I.E. a pipe slipped over the end).
Watch the knuckles when it finally lets loose!!

well the thing is the nut is welded on to the shock. do you still think that it will work hammering that thing?
PB Blaster. Lots of it. Have you gotten it to turn yet? If you've gotten it past the nut, then you can put the thin end of a 3/8" extension in the hole and whack it the rest of the way out.

Unscrew it all the way after the bolt that is bolted on... then with a screw-driver, hit it out, really hard. Make sure it's unscrewd all the way.

this happened to me too and it seems to be a pretty common problem on tegs. After trying about everything they've already mentioned i wound up cutting off the bottom of the shock with a cut-off wheel and then i wound up having to get new lower control arms because the bolt itself was fused into the bushing. well if nothing else works you may need to do the same, or at least get new bushings for the LCAs. good luck man
use a torch and get the welded on nut RED HOT. Then immediatly put the air to the bolt. Should come right out with a good gun.
