Default 96-98 lower pocket


i want to install my CD player into the lower pocket on my 98 civic instead of the factory radio spot... my question is.. how...is it possible.. ive seen it but dont know how...is there some sort of kit to install it there or do i just take out the pocket?.. thanks in advance for your input

just take out the pocket and more your radio down there. i did mine in like 30 mins.

what i did was de install the whole frame ot from behind the regular radio area and reinstall it in the lower pocket looks cleaner

my cup holders are connected to the lower pocket itself... if i take out the pockets.. do i lose cup holders too.. i dont have the pocket with the flip up cup holder like in your pictures

did you or someone put the 99-00 cupholders in yours, it sounds like it. If so you will have to get the 96-98 holders

yea i have mine down there as well. looks nice although if you sit back u will have a hard time reaching it to change things. You will also have to use something as filler becuse the deck is a little smaller than the opening on the sides. I also left the factory radio up top so it looks cleaner than having nothing.
