NY's Fastest Ep3 w/ Vids!!!
Well guys, for those who know me , know the road i went down with my Ep3 has been long and hard since i fist bought her in Nov. 2002.Befor i go any further i would like to give a couple of people a shout out because with out their support i dont know where i would be:
1.Robert and Richard from Nippon Power...nipponpower.com i luv u guys

and countless outhers.Going down that road has lead me to a couple of firsts, well i would like to believe i was the first "common folk" to put a K24 in a ep3...... since 4/04, much thanks goes to chris V. from skunk2 and Brian Gillespie from hasport for there tech support on the project, since they were the only ones to have a swaped k24 in a ep chassis. Then came my turbo project for those that dont know this is my setup:
1. a 2002 CRV block stock internals (9.6:1 comp), 2002 RSX-S tranny
2. 2002 RSX-S head w/ Type-R intake cam and able to use all 50 degrees of cam timing,
3. Cybernation turbo kit w/ t3/60-1,
4. 750 RC injectors,
5. turbonetics evo 38mm wastegate
6. 3" turbo back exhaust
7. fadanza 8lbs flywheel
8. Spec2 stage 4 clutch (4 puck)
9. K-pro
10. K-pro boost per gear solinod
11. 3bar map sensor
12. 255lph walboro fuel pump
I finally got the car tuned after a year of haveing the car turboed and a hand full of mishaps on 1/28/06 by Miller from NRG tech in LI N.Y. It was a street tune no full blown dyno here guys so i still dont know my power output but you guys can assume. the pump gas map was @ 15lbs. and my 116oct race gas map @ 20lbs.
I went to Import Survival Series part 2 @ englishtown racewaypark on 4/2/06


and my best time was 12.1 @114mph 1.9 60' this time was put down on my 15psi pumpgas map with leaded 116 gas in the car and useing 24.5x8x15 M&H slicks. i couldnt make a good pass with my racegas map because i was spinning the slicks and the clutch was slipping due to the motor over powering it .After talking with Miller and a few others when i got home when i got home that night we figured out that a clutch was needed and it was slippin w/ the pumpgas pas i made. I also weighed the car ad it was 2804lbs w/ me in it and i weigh 175lbs.
So as of now, next on the list is:
1.LSD
2.Tilton Twin disk Clutch
3.ADJ coilovers (to stiffen the rear for the launch)
4.Bigger slicks.....I would like to run a 13" Bogart wheel w/ a 24.5x9.5x13 M&H slick, but i dont know about fitting a 13" wheel over the Ep rotors, im talkin wit Bogart to see if i can make this happen. if not i will run a 14" wheel w/ a 24.5x8x14 Mickey Thompson slick.
5.6pt roll cage ( when its all said and done i should be ~10.9)
6.Drive Shaft Shop stage 3 axles

I love seeing ep's lay down some solid times at the track. Yours is definitley one of the fastest that I have seen.
Minus everyone who uses the chassis for auto-x and road racing seems like the majority of owners use the car (not meant to flame anyone here
) to put on a show carpet which is unfortunate. Props to taking a step forward for the ep's.
Car should really benefit from the lsd and bigger slicks, seems like it has way more in it.

there was a guy from brooklyn back in 03 with a cybernation turbo running mid 11's
before the car was stolen and stripped
and the first k24 was in virginia and was a girl

i would like to see proof, not 2 say im denying it, cuz if im wrong im wrong and i will correct my statment......but it is alil hard to believe, because in order for him to run 11s, he would have to have a swaped motor, cuz there is no way in hell the K20A3 motor will put down a 11 sec time esp. in 03'. Plus back in 03 Cybernation was using the black majic w/ the apexi afc to tune the motors and K-pro was not even out yet. If it was that easy to get a EP in to the 11s by just slappin on a turbo kit, alot more Eps would be in the 11s. I have posted this same post in Ephatch.com, ClubRSX.com, K20a.org, and Honda-Tech and everybody is saying the same thing.
And the same goes for the K24 thing. I did my swap a couple of months after Skunk2 did there's in late 03. and Skunk2 was the first, that really publisized it. I got paperwork to prove mine

He speaks the truth. There used to be pictures, and videos of both these cars on Clubrsx back in the day.

very nice times..and there are some prettty quick ep's out there the problem is every one goes to the track on street tires..not too many actually invest in decent tires/slicks..tires is gonan help bring down alot of peoples times at the track

so where did he lie? you should be the last to correct him, seeing as your cars dont have a dime under the hood
