Default D16A6 Block Question

I have currently disassembled my d16a6 engine, i have measured the cylinders and found out that the cylinders are out of round and tapered.

i called a machine shop to ask how much it was to re-bore the cylinders bigger and they recommened simply re-ringing the motor.

I was wondering if this was a better way to do my re-build or if i SHOULD re-bore and get new cylinders. Any info would help greatly, Thanks

I have heard that it is almost cheaper just to resleeve. Depends on how good your machinists in the area are. A guy I know had his ls bored .020 over and by the time they bored and honed it the new pistons/rings just fell straight through. he ended up buying a new block. But he's a dumbass anyways. Turbo integra and blew his rings the second day, put in said second block and it lasted 10 days. He was in to big of a hurry.
